DEWCO are pleased to announce that they have gained certification in both ISO9001:2015 Quality Management (certificate number: FS 691471) and ISO 14001:2015 Environmental Management (certificate number: EMS 691470), certified by UKCAS accredited BSI.
Developed by the Industry Standard Organisation, these two internationally recognised certificates reflect the consistent levels of quality that is demonstrated throughout our operations and the company’s ongoing commitment to sustainability and reducing our impact on the environment.
Hard work rewarded
Managing Director, Rob Walston, comments: “As a company we are always looking to continually improve and the achievement of ISO certification has been a goal for DEWCO for several years. Although the company has always worked to a high standard, the implementation of this risk based management system really encompasses all areas of our business. Just to name a few, the system oversees our facilities, personnel, the lifecycle of our products and management of both subcontractors and suppliers. We hope that the certification will be a real statement to our clients and will give them extra piece of mind. I am very proud of the hard work from every member of the team”.
What’s next for DEWCO?
DEWCO has also been looking to the future and for 2019 is extending its range of inhouse services offered. We are delighted to be ahead of the game when it comes to the introduction of SAP10, the new energy assessment procedure for residential developments.
SAP10 – what you need to know
Although not yet released, the proposed methodology is set to make real changes to the current energy regulations imposed on newly constructed dwellings with SAP Calculations becoming a key part of the design process for any scheme.
Energy consultancy as standard
As an accredited SAP Assessor DEWCO is well placed to advise on design considerations early on in the design process, carrying out modelling of building, fabric efficiency and M&E systems to produce optimum performing buildings.
Reducing risk & improving efficiency
The SAP Calculations are produced in-house and are able to produce a multitude of detailed reporting to suit the individual needs of the client, from heat losses and energy demand to seasonal variations, CO2 emissions and targets as well as renewables contributions. The early involvement of SAP Calculations at design stage will pass on great benefits to our clients with less risk and more efficiency.
